Course Description:
Join local artist David Delaney for a two-hour acrylic painting workshop where you’ll create an abstract floral inspired by a live still life. David will guide you through acrylic painting techniques while showing you how to transform traditional flowers into a bold, expressive work of art.

About the Artist:
David grew up in the west Texas town of Odessa, Texas. “My interest in art started with a photography class in high school. Taking pictures taught me composition and photography became a second nature to me.” David moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in the early 90’s. He has painted for over 20 years. David began working at art Galleries on Canyon Road and learned the art business after 12 years. At the same time, he began taking classes at Valdez School of art, elevating his art skills to a new level. Inspired by New Mexico landscapes and abstract painting it was at this time David decided to commit himself to painting. David’s paintings have appeared at galleries on Canyon Road in Santa Fe. David, a teacher for acrylic painting at Michaels craft store is now a prolific painter who works with acrylic paint on canvas, he paints in Albuquerque’s North Valley.
*This workshop is held in our downstairs classroom, which is not accessible to wheelchairs and some other mobility devices.
